# Add MX record (email hosting)

## 1. About MX record

This guide is applicable to users who purchased the domain from EasyStore and would like to add **MX record** to connect with email hosting. MX record is provided by your email hosting service provider.

Using a hosted email service helps convey professionalism, and builds brand trust. Hosted email enables users to leverage specialized brand names so that the company’s name is prominently featured.

## 2. Add MX record

**Step 1 :** [EasyStore Admin](https://admin.easystore.co/) > Channels > Online Store > Domains

**Step 2 :** Click the **Edit** under **Registered Domains**

**Step 3** : Click **Add DNS record**

**Step 4 :** Leave the domain name empty

**Step 5 :** Kind > Select ' **MX** '

**Step 6 :** If you have more than one MX record, kindly put them in different row > Save changes

## 3. Edit MX record

If you would like to edit the record, kindly click on the 'Pencil' to **delete the existing one** and add a new record.
