# Setup free shipping

# 1. Free shipping for individual product

**Step 1** : Login [EasyStore Admin Panel](https://admin.easystore.co) >  Products > Select the product you want to edit.
 
Example:

**Step 2**: Scroll to the **Shipping** section, select **This product is free shipping**, and click **Save**

**Example A: How Free Shipping Works**

Emma purchased **Product A** (free shipping) and **Product B** (standard shipping) from your store.

**Store's Shipping Rate:**
* **Based on item quantity:** RM 8 per item
* **Product A:** Free shipping ✅
* **Product B:** Standard shipping fee applies 🚚

Instead of paying **RM 16** (RM 8 per item for two products), Emma will only pay **RM 8**, as **Product A is exempt from shipping charges**.

**Example B: How Free Shipping Affects Weight-Based Rates**

Emma purchased **Product A**, **Product B**, and **Product C** (free shipping) from your store.

**Store's Shipping Rate:**

* **First 10 kg:** RM 10
* **Each additional 1 kg:** RM 5

**Product Weights:**

* **Product A:** 4 kg
* **Product B:** 4 kg
* **Product C:** 4 kg (Free shipping) ✅

Total weight before free shipping: **12 kg**  
Total weight charged: **8 kg** (since Product C is excluded)

Instead of paying **RM 20** (for 12 kg), Emma will only pay **RM 10**, as **Product C’s weight is not included in the shipping calculation**.

**Example C: Free Shipping Applied to Specific Products**

Emma purchased **Product A** and **Product B** from your store.

**Product A** – Free Shipping ✅ (Cute White Top + Ripped Shorts)  
**Product B** – Normal Shipping Fee (Pastel Highlighter (10 in a set))

# 2. Free shipping for total order amount

**Step 1**: From your [EasyStore Admin Panel](https://admin.easystore.co) > **Settings** > **Shipping** **& Pickups** > click **pencil icon** on the preferred shipping zone

**Step 2:** Scroll down and tick the **Enable "Free shipping" when order total amount equal to or above** and insert the amount

**📌 Note :** Whenever your customers purchased total amount equal to or above the amount you have inserted, they will not be charged for shipping fees.

**Step 3**: Save

**📌 Note:** When your customers make a purchase that meets or exceeds the specified amount, they will automatically qualify for free shipping and will not be charged any shipping fees.

# 3. Free shipping for total order amount (3rd party logistic services)

**Step 1**: From [EasyStore Admin Panel](https://admin.easystore.co) > Apps > Select **EasyParcel Malaysia** app

**Step 2**: Insert the amount in *free shipping when order total amount equal to or above.*

**Step 3**: Click **Save**.

# 4. Shipping discount tools (NEW)

|| 📌 **Note :** Shipping discount tools is only available in [EasyStore Standard & Business plan](http://www.easystore.co/en-my/pricing).

**Step 1**:  Login to your [EasyStore Admin Panel](https://admin.easystore.co) > **Discounts** > [Discount for shipping fees](https://admin.easystore.co/promotions/new?setting=shipping_fee_discount).

**Step 2**: Set title shown to customer

**Step 3**: Set requirements for customer either minimum spend / minimum quantity purchase to entitled Free Shipping
**Step 4**:  Set applicable items either All items (storewide) / selected item / selected collection

**Step 5**: Under **Discount Options**, choose either **Free Shipping** (100% discount on shipping fees) or **Subsidized Shipping** (fixed discount on shipping fees).
**Step 6**: Select the **discount region(s)**, including sub-regions, to determine which areas qualify for the shipping fee discount.
**Step 7**: Set the **applicable shipping method**—choose from **All shipping methods** (both shipping & pickup), **Shipping only** (deliver to customers), or **Pickup only** (store pickup).

**Step 8**: Set additional conditions such as:

* **Active & expiry dates** to control the promotion period.
* **Discount method** ( [Learn more about discount methods](/en/article/discount-method-for-discount-tools-19ggku1/)).
* **Target customers** to specify which customer types are eligible for the discount.
* **Store usage limit** to cap the total redemptions.
* **Each customer usage limit** (applicable only for registered customers).

**How does it work?**

**Example A**
Charlie purchases **1 novel** priced at **RM 200** from your store.

**Shipping rate of your store:**
* Flat rate shipping fee: **RM 8 per order**

**Discount settings:**
* Novel collection: **10% off** each item
* Shipping fee discount: **RM 5 off** for purchases of **RM 100 and above**

###### Final calculation:
* Novel price after 10% discount: RM 180
* Shipping fee after discount: RM 8 - RM 5 = RM 3
* Grand total: RM 183

📌 *Shipping fee discount is applied after the product discount is calculated.*

**Example B**
Benny purchases **1 recipe book** priced at **RM 200** from your store.

**Shipping rate of your store:**
* West Malaysia (WM): **RM 13** 
* East Malaysia (EM): **RM 15**

**Discount settings:**
* Recipe collection: **10% off** each item
* Shipping fee discount: **RM 15 off** for purchases of **RM 200 and above**

**Final calculation:**
* Recipe book price after 10% discount: **RM 180**
* Shipping fee (EM): **RM 15**
* Total payable: **RM 195**

📌 *The shipping fee discount is not applied because the order total after the product discount does not meet the RM 200 minimum requirement.*

**Example C**
Andrew purchases **1 comic book** priced at **RM 200** from your store.

**Shipping rate of your store:**
* West Malaysia (WM): **RM 13**
* East Malaysia (EM): **RM 15**

**Discount settings:**
* **10% off for recipe collection** (requires voucher code: **BOOK2022**)
* **RM 15 off shipping fee** for purchases of **RM 200 and above** (requires voucher code: **FREESHIPPING**)

**Final calculation:**
* Shipping fee (EM): **RM 15**
* Total payable: **RM 195**

*📌Since both discounts require a voucher code and only one voucher can be applied at checkout, Andrew must choose between the 10% product discount or the free shipping discount.*
