# Switch store ownership

###### When do you need to switch store ownership?
* When you wanted to change/replace to another email address
* When you accidentally insert the wrong email address during registration
* When you wanted to switch the owner of the store

**📌 Important note :**
* Only the STORE OWNER is able to proceed with this action.
* You can only switch the ownership to an admin, vice versa. 

**Step 1 : **Go to [EasyStore Admin Panel](https://admin.easystore.co) > Settings > Staff

**Step 2 :** Click on the name of the admin that you wish to switch the ownership to. Make sure you have added them as one of the staff first.

**Step 3 :** Click **Switch to Owner** button on the page

Both old & new owners will receive an 📩 email notification after the action is updated. 

Once you have switched the ownership to the new account, you may go to the [EasyStore Admin](https://admin.easystore.co/) > Click _I forgot my password_ to reset a new password. 

You will receive a notification email to the email address that you have registered in EasyStore. Reset the password in order to log in to your account.
