Inventory Transfer Between Different Store Locations

1. Introduction



The inventory transfer feature enables you to easily transfer inventory from one store location to another. You can manage and track inventory transfers in a centralized dashboard for easy inventory management.

2. Create Inventory Transfer



Step 1: Login to EasyStore’s admin panel > Products > Transfers > Create Transfer



Step 2: Select Origin location (where the inventory will be transfer from)

Step 3: Select Destination location (where the inventory will be transfer to)



Step 4: Choose the product that want to transfer > fill in the transfer quantity > Save

After the inventory transfer has been created, an inventory transfer draft will be recorded in the inventory transfer llist.

The admin from both Inventory transfer origin and destination location is able to track and filter the transfer from the inventory transfer record list.



💡 Tips: If you decided the cancel the transfer after created, click into the transfer record and click on the Cancel transfer button to cancel the transfer created



3. Start and receive transfer



Step 1: When the inventory requested has been prepared and ready to transfer, go to Products > Transfers > click into the transfer record > Start transfer



💡 Tips: You can also update the Shipment details and add addtional details(if any) at the right panel



After transfer started, the status of inventory transfer will update to Transferring



Step 2: Once the product has been received at the destination, go to Products > Transfers > click into the transfer record > Receive transfer



Step 3: If all the item requested was arrived in good condition and ready to receive, click Accept all unreceived

OR, click Reject all unreceived if all items is rejected



💡 Tips: If only a part of items is received, only key in the received item to proceed. The amount of item received can still be adjusted when the rest of the unreceived item arrived.



Example Scenario 1:


HQ requested: 5 inventories

Mid Valley branch sending: 3 inventories

Thus, only 3 items was received in this transfer, fill in “3” on the Accept column

📌In this scenario, only 3 items has been received so the amount of item received can still be adjusted when the rest of 2 unreceived items arrived.





Example Scenario 2:


HQ requested: 5 inventories

Mid Valley branch sending: 5 inventories

However, when the shipment arrived at HQ, only 4 items was received in a good condition.

Thus, 4 items was accepted and 1 item has been rejected.

📌In this scenario, 5 items has been received so the inventory transfer is completed and this transfer is not adjustable anymore

Q: When the inventory requested will be deducted from origin location?

The inventory requested will be deducted from origin location once the origin admin started the transfer by click on the Start transfer button




Q: Will the inventory that has been rejected destination added back to origin location?

No, the rejected item will not be added back to origin location nor destination location


Q: How to check if one product is having any incoming inventory from transferring?

The incoming inventory can be check from:

EasyStore’s admin panel > Products > click into the product > Inventory/ Quantity > Incoming
