Set up Multi-Location Inventory

💡Tips: If you only have 1 inventory location, you can skip this guide and proceed to set up location.

1. Introduction


EasyStore’s Multi-Location Inventory allows you to manage and track stock across multiple locations in one dashboard. Each location can be the fulfillment point or ship-from location for different sales channels, like online store, POS locations and marketplaces. You can easily transfer stock between locations and view their inventory report.


2. Set up primary location


Primary location is the main location that is responsible in fulfilling online orders. It can be any location, such as your head office, warehouse, or a retail store — as long as it is the main location that will ship and deduct stock for online orders. It should be the first location to set up.


Go to Settings > Locations > Add location. Click here for the complete guide to set up a location.



Primary location will always be at the top of your locations list, with a green 'Primary' label.



3. Set up new location



3.1 If you have more than one location, you can continue add more locations by clicking Add location and follow the same steps.



3.2 When adding new location, there’s one important section where you need to select inventory tracking method.



Track inventory independently


For example item A you have stock = 5, you can separate the inventory as below:


  • HQ = 2 units
  • Outlet = 3 units


Customers can only purchase the stock quantity from the respective location.


Since this location have a separate inventory from primary location, you’ll need to proceed to step 4 to set up inventory for this new location.


Share inventory with primary location


For example item A you have stock = 5, the inventory is set at primary location and shared with this location:


  • HQ & Outlet total = 5 units


Customers can purchase the 5 units from any location on first come first serve basic.


This location’s inventory will follow primary location’s inventory, there’s no need to set up a separate inventory for this new location.


4. Set up inventory for new location


If your new location isn't sharing inventory with primary location, it needs its own inventory to sell. There are 2 methods to set up inventory for new location:


  1. Manually add stock quantity to product inventory in product details page.

5. Select inventory location for sales channels


For POS and marketplaces, you can choose the inventory location that sells on these channels (to deduct stock).


For POS locations


5.1 Go to POS and tap on the location on the top left to select the inventory location.



For marketplaces like TikTok, Shopee, Lazada:


5.2 Channels > TikTok/Shopee/Lazada > Accounts > Edit > select the inventory location under 'Product inventory sync from'.
