Add single product
In this article:
1. Introduction
It is recommended that you get ready the following basic product details before start:
- Product name
- Product description
- Product images
- Product weight and dimension (if shipping rate based on weight)
- Product selling price
- Product stock quantity (optional)
2. Adding product
2.1 Go to EasyStore Admin > Products > Add product.
2.2 Name your product Title and insert its Description. Product description should be as clear as possible, you may share the "how-to-use" idea, it will help on SEO
Images
2.3 Upload product image(s).
- High definition and square image is recommended. The recommended image size is ratio 1:1 = 800x800px.
- You are able to edit the image title (image alt). Having an image name can help in improving and boosting your website/product SEO.
Variants
2.4 Skip this section since this product does not have any variants. You may click here if your product has variants.
Pricing
2.5 There are 3 prices:
- Price - selling price
- Compare at price - displayed as discounted - slashed price in the storefront (optional)
- Cost price - product cost (optional)
- Taxable product - check this box if taxes apply to this product
Inventory
2.6 Details for inventory management:
- SKU and Barcode are optional
- Inventory control - if 'EasyStore tracks inventory of this product is selected, product Quantity will be auto deducted upon receive order and the product will be marked 'SOLD OUT' when out of stock
Shipping
2.7 Details needed for shipping rates that based on weight:
- Weight and Dimension will be used to calculate shipping fees at checkout
- Check This product is free shipping box if this product is shipped free to all locations (handling fee will not be exempted for free shipping product)
Search engine optimization
2.8 Edit meta description for your product. It should contain keywords that potential customers will search for.
2.9 Save and you have successfully created a product.
3. Adding product with variants (e.g. color, size)
3.1 Similarly, start with naming your product Title and insert its Description.
Images
3.2 Upload product images including images for each variant.
Variants
3.3 Click Add variants > insert your Option types and Option values.
- Use Enter to separate between values.
- Maximum of 3 option types
- Maximum of 100 option value
3.4 Select the image for your variants.
3.5 Fill in your variant details. If your variants have limited stock quantity, select EasyStore tracks inventory of this product at the next step and you'll see the Inventory column appear.
Variants settings
3.6 Complete your variants settings:
If you choose EasyStore tracks inventory of this product, you can go back to above to fill in the quantity under the Inventory column.
Search engine optimization
3.7 Same as step 2.7 above.
3.8 Save and you have successfully created a product with variants.
4. Adding YouTube video
You can also add YouTube short video into your products.
Step 1 : You will need to convert the video link as below:
From this format:
https://youtube.com/shorts/ ... ?feature=share
Into this format:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=...
Step 2 : Copy the video ID at the end of the YouTube shorts link (as example below)
Step 3 : Paste it at the product page from your admin panel
Step 4 : If you wish to change the size of the video to better fit your product page, you'll need to click the code view > look for "width: 100%; height: 480px;" resize accordingly
Step 5 : Save & you're done!
