1. Introduction


By offering an exclusive discount on their first purchase, you encourage visitors to sign up for your store and create an account, giving them the confidence to place their first order and often motivating them to add more items to their cart.


2. Send welcome voucher


💡 Tips: Suitable for Business, Essential and Growth plan or above.


2.1 Go to Customers > Engagement > edit Welcome New Customer event.



2.2 Click Add way button.



2.3 Assign exclusive voucher.



2.4 Follow steps 3.2 to 4 in this guide to set up general settings, purchase requirement and discount value of the voucher based on your offer to new sign up customers.

2.5 The voucher will be auto assigned to new sign up customers only.



Voucher usage


2.6 Available voucher quantity — select “Unlimited” so that all new sign up customers (without limitation) can get the welcome voucher



2.7 Expiration — if you want, you can set how long time before the voucher expire, start counting from the date customer sign up



Save the voucher.


2.8 The voucher is created but might be inactive, you need to enable the event to activate it.




2.9 Once the event is enabled, customers will receive the welcome message upon sign-up.

2.10 The welcome voucher can be found in customer’s account > Vouchers > under Active Vouchers.



2.11 The voucher can now be applied in customer’s first order.



💡Tips: Except voucher, you can also add welcome points reward. Make sure you have set up points system.



3. Send discount code


💡 Tips: Suitable for Standard plan.



3.1 Go to Promotions > Add discount.



3.2 Follow steps 3.2 to 4 in this guide to set up general settings, purchase requirement and **discount value **of the discount based on your offer to new sign up customers.



3.3 Complete discount setting, make sure to select:


  • 'Discount code' method (fill in your own code > Add or Generate code)
  • Customer eligibility: All logged-in members
  • Store usage limit: Unlimited
  • Each customer usage limit: Limited times = 1



3.4. Go to Customers > Engagement > edit Welcome New Customer > edit Send welcome message > insert the discount code together with your own sentence.


💡 Tips: You can also insert the discount code in Easy Pop Up app.



3.5 Also, ensure Welcome New Customer event is enabled so customers receive the welcome message upon sign-up.



3.6 Now your new sign up customers can apply the discount code in their first purchase.
