Introduction to YouTube Shopping


YouTube Shopping helps you accurately reach your target customers, driving high-converting traffic to your business. In addition, YouTube Shopping's powerful re-marketing strategy can re-engage customers who have previously visited your website, ensuring you capture every potential customer and rekindle their shopping interest, turning browsers into buyers.


To use YouTube Shopping, you must meet the following requirements:


  1. You need to set up a Google Merchant Center account. Click here to find out more
  2. You must meet the requirements of the YouTube Partner Program (YPP)


  • You must have published 3 valid public videos in the past 90 days, have at least 500 subscribers, and have accumulated 3,000 watch hours of valid public videos in the past 12 months
    OR
  • You must have published 3 valid public videos within the past 90 days, gained at least 500 subscribers, and accumulated 3 million views on valid public Shorts within the same period.


  1. Must enable [Online Store] sales channel


Please note that YouTube Shopping is currently in beta. To request activation, kindly contact our support team once you have met all the eligibility requirements outlined above.


Step 1: Enable YouTube Shopping


  1. Log in to EasyStore Admin Panel > Channels > YouTube Shopping > Request for Beta Access


  1. Ensure all requirements listed are met before use


Once clicked the “Request Beta Access” the customer support chat box will auto pre-fill


After requesting for Beta Access, you can "Enable" it


Enable the channel after ensure all the requirements are met



  1. Login to your Google Account


  1. Allow EasyStore to Access



  1. Once the Google connection is successful, YouTube Shopping will be auto enabled.

Step 2: Sync YouTube Shopping


  1. Key in your YouTube Channel ID



📘 How to get your YouTube channel ID?


Go to YouTube channel admin > click on the profile picture on the top right > select Settings.


Go to the "Advanced settings" tab to view the Channel ID.
📝 Note: You need to log in as the channel owner to be able to view this information.

  1. Key in your YouTube Channel URL (https://www.youtube.com/@xxxxxxx）


📘 How to get your YouTube channel ID?

Go to YouTube channel admin > click on the profile picture on the top right > View your channel > copy the browser URL


  1. At the Google Merchant Center section, will show Google Merchant Center account is connected.


  1. Once filled in YouTube Channel ID & Channel URL, you can click on the "Fetch Now" to sync all product into Google Merchant Center.



Step 3: Connect your Store on YouTube


  1. Sign in to your YouTube Studio



  1. On the left hand side click "Earn" > Shopping


  1. Make sure your YouTube channel has apply for **Shopping **feature.
  • If you have not connected a store yet, click the Connect Store button.
  • If you have already connected a store, you can also click the Connect button to connect additional stores.



  1. Select Other store



  1. Select your Google Merchant Center account


  1. Agree to YouTube Merchant Terms
  2. Upon completion, please ensure your Google Merchant Center account is displayed in the "Connected stores" section


  1. It will require approximately 1-2 days for the products to be reviewed. Once approved, the products will be displayed in this section



Feature overview


  1. Product will display under videos. When customers click on the product it will direct them to the website to place an order.
