Existing Third-Party Domain Service Upgrade

This article will guide you on how to add new A Record and CNAME for your domain upgrade. For your information, EasyStore will perform a service infrastructure upgrade to improve the reliability of your website with a new website security company. This upgrade will impact merchants who are using third-party domains such as NameCheap, GoDaddy, or Shinjiru, etc.

What does it mean by 3rd Party Domain?


3rd party domain is referring to those who purchased their domain from 3rd party domain service provider (eg: GoDaddy, Shinjiru, NameCheap etc), and are connecting the domain name to EasyStore via pointing the A Record data / record (also known as IP Address).

What do I need to do?


You will need to add CNAME for your domain and get verify, after that update A record. Kindly refer to the steps below:

Step 1 : Login to your EasyStore admin panel > Dashboard and click update domain settings button or visit this link.



Step 2 : Copy the CNAME values listed below and add them to your DNS Management on your domain provider side (where you purchased domain)



Steps 3 : Log in to your domain service provider dashboard and please proceed to the domain DNS Management where you can see the A, CNAME, TXT, NS, MX and other records as the screenshot below.

📌 Note: Please be informed that this is an example only. Every domain service provider will be having a different interface.



Step 4 : Add the CNAME and paste the value at your DNS Management. You can get value from EasyStore Admin Panel in Step 2.



Step 5: After successfully adding the CNAME at your DNS Management, you can go back to EasyStore Admin Panel then click this button and start verification.



Step 6: The first verification will take some time (up to 24 hours) for processing before you go to second verification step.



Step 7: Once first verification done, it's will show success interface. You may proceed to second verification step.



Step 8: Go to www.domain name if you notice that your domain comes with two like this. May proceed to copy the value and paste it at your domain provider.



Step 9: It will be like this. Then click save.



Step 10: Second verification required you to copy A Records below and paste the value at your DNS Management.



Step 11: Click Restart Verification 2 button for verification.



Step 12: Once every done. You shall see this success notification.



NOTE: Remember to delete other A record that point to your domain to avoid disruption
