Point your domain from Namecheap to EasyStore

Pointing a domain to EasyStore means that you already bought a domain from another domain provider and you want to set it as your store URL in EasyStore.

When you already have a domain at NameCheap, you can point your domain to EasyStore by pointing the domain DNS Records as below :

📌 Note: There would be a total of 4 A records and 2 CNAME records that need to be added/ modified at the NameCheap side.

Here we provide a step-by-step guideline for you to point the domain from NameCheap to EasyStore



Step 1 : Kindly login to your Namecheap account. Click Domain List > Click 'Manage'



Step 2 : You will be redirected to the page below, click 'Advanced DNS' 



Step 3 : Add CNAME record



📌 Notes:
Every domain will have a different value for the CNAME record, kindly obtained the DNS records details from EasyStore’s admin panel > domain > edit
Use the default TTL given by Namecheap will do

Step 4 : Add A records

Every domain will have a different value for A record, kindly obtained the DNS records details from EasyStore’s admin panel > domain > edit
Use the default TTL given by Namecheap will do



Step 5 : Save changes



📌 Note: Changing the DNS setting may take up to 24 hours to take effect.

Step 6 : After you have done added the DNS records to Namecheap, you can login to your EasyStore’s admin panel and go to Channels > Online Store > Domains



Step 7 : In your domain's settings, click on Add existing domain



Step 8 : Insert your domain name > Confirm



Step 9 : Your domain will show 'Not verified' once the domain has been added. Click on the edit > tick the activating free SSL options > verify domain



Step 10 : After verification, the status of your domain will show 'Unsecured'. Kindly allow up to 24 hours for the domain to be verified and goes online



Step 11 : Done🎉



Once SSL is activated, your domain is now secured! 😍
