1. Introduction

Setting up the right hardware is essential to ensuring your EasyStore POS system runs smoothly and efficiently. Whether you're opening a new store or upgrading your current setup, this guide will walk you through how to choose the right POS hardware—such as receipt printers, barcode scanners, and cash drawers—and how to connect and configure them with your EasyStore system. With the right tools in place, you’ll be ready to provide a fast, reliable checkout experience for your customers.

2. Recommended set

For a complete POS set you might need a POS device, receipt printer, scanner and cash drawer. Here are few recommended set:

• Mobile/tablet + receipt printer, optional to add cash drawer
• Sunmi D2s PLUS (desktop) + barcode scanner, optional to add cash drawer
• Sunmi V2s (handheld, no cash drawer)

3. POS device

EasyStore POS is compatible with daily devices like mobile and tablet. At the same time you can also use professional POS devices like that from Sunmi.

Daily devices:

• Apple devices, iPhone and iPad: iOS 15.6 or later
• Android devices, phone and tablet: Android 8.0 or above

4. Receipt printer

If you’d like to provide paper receipt to customers but your chosen device doesn’t come with it built-in, you can connect an external thermal receipt printer.

Things to take note:

• Connection type supported: Bluetooth, LAN, Wi-Fi
• LAN printer should connect to router using RJ45 LAN cable. Make sure POS device and router connect to the same network.
• For Wi-Fi printers, make sure POS device and printer connect to the same network.

Recommended models:

For printers not listed above, they are not tested, so we're unable to confirm their compatibility. If you already have the printer and it supports ESC/POS printing commands, you can try connect it to EasyStore POS and test print.

5. Scanner

No special requirement as long as the scanner is supported by and can be connected to your POS device, normally by Bluetooth or USB. Check out how to print barcode label sticker using Barcode Label app.

6. Cash drawer

Things to take note:

• Cash drawer cannot connect directly to POS device, it must connect through receipt printer.
• So for mobile/tablet POS device, you must connect a receipt printer first before connect cash drawer.
• Make sure the cable connector on cash drawer fits into the cash drawer port on receipt printer, normally RJ11 / RJ12 port depending on your printer.

7. Payment

EasyStore POS also supports cashless payment options provided by payment gateways. Below are the available card and e-wallet methods with compatible devices:

Card payment

• Mobile/tablet/Sunmi via Payex POS card terminal
• Sunmi V2s via Fiuu Tap to Pay

E-wallet

• Mobile/tablet/Sunmi via Fiuu E-wallet (need scanner)
• Mobile/tablet/Sunmi via UOB DuitNow QR (no need scanner)
