Let customers register with phone number!

Since some of us do not own an email address and prefer to use phone number over email. Therefore, we come out with a feature that allows your customers to register an account, login and reset password easily by using their phone number.

About this feature:

New customers can register an account at your website with phone number & email address would be optional.

Registered customers can login with phone number & choose which account to connect with (if have multiple accounts)

Customers are able to reset password with their phone number

Every register, login & reset password will receive a One-Time-Password (OTP) via SMS

You are able to add customers' phone number at your Admin Panel > Customers

This feature is included in EasyStore Business plan only

In this article:

1. Enable customer phone number account

Go to Customers > 3 Dots Icon > Customers Settings



and enable customer phone number account > Save > Done

2. Register an account with phone number

Step 1 : For new customers that do not have an account, you may click the account icon on the top right



It will proceed you to login page > Click 'Create Account' > Fill in
First Name
Last Name
Email or Phone Number (select either one)
Password

Step 2 : Once every column is filled, click Create to proceed



Step 3 : Once clicked the'Create' button, it will direct you to the verification page and an One-Time-Password (OTP) will be sent to your phone number via SMS



Step 4 : Insert the One-Time-Password (OTP) > click Verify to verify the phone number



You will able to see your Order History, Available Credit & Account Details. It means you have successfully created an account with phone number!

3. Login with phone number

Step 1 : If you have created an account, you can login with Email or Phone Number > Key in password > Sign In



Step 2 : If you have multiple accounts, you may select an account to connect with your phone number > Connect



Once clicked Connect button, it will brings you to the 'My Account' page which means you have successfully login with phone number!

4. Reset password with phone number

Step 1 : If you couldn't remember your password, click 'Forgot your password?' > Enter phone number > Submit



Step 2 : It will direct you to the verification page and an One-Time-Password (OTP) will be sent to your phone number via SMS



Step 3 : Insert the One-Time-Password (OTP) > Click Verify



Step 4 : Enter new password for your account > Reset Password > Done



You have successfully reset your password ✓
