1. Checklist before you begin

Instagram Shopping is not one of the EasyStore sales channels. However, if you wish to sell your EasyStore products to Instagram Shopping, you need to follow the steps given below.

Make sure your country/region is in the list for Instagram Shopping Availability. You may check the market accessibility here

⚠️ Instagram Shopping is NO LONGER available in MALAYSIA. However, you can still create a catalogue to run ads
Only physical products can be sold in Instagram Shopping

Your business complies with Facebook's Merchant Agreement Policy & Commerce Policies

Make sure your business is complies with Commerce Eligibility Requirements

Your business owns a website domain.

If you are using a personal account, please switch to professional account. May refer to a guide here

If your business meets all the above requirements, please continue with the following steps to enable Instagram Shopping for your business.

2. Connect Facebook Page with Instagram account (if you already have an existing Facebook Page)

Step 1: Go to your Facebook Page > Click on your Facebook Page name on top left > click Boost Instagram Post

Step 2: Click Connect Account

Step 3: Click Connect

Step 4: Ensure to enable the setting to allow access to Instagram messages in inbox, then click Connect

Step 5: Login to your Instagram account

Step 6: Once done, it will appear as such & click Done!

3. Steps to connect with Instagram Shopping

⚠️ Please be informed that Instagram Shopping is NO LONGER available in Malaysia. However, you may still create catalogue to run ads

Step 1 : Connect to a Facebook Page. Go to your business's Instagram profile > Edit profile > Public business information > Page

If you haven’t set up a Facebook Page yet, we recommend following this detailed guide here to create one seamlessly.
Please note, a Facebook Page Shop is not required—simply having a Facebook Page will suffice for integration.

Step 2: If you don’t have a Facebook Product Catalogue yet, you can follow this step-by-step guide here to create one with ease.

If your Facebook account is already connected with EasyStore, a Facebook Product Catalogue will be automatically created, and all products in your EasyStore will seamlessly sync with the Facebook Product Catalogue.

Step 3: ❗️ (APPLICABLE ONLY IN SELECTED COUNTRIES WHERE INSTAGRAM SHOPPING IS AVAILABLE)

Setup Instagram Shopping. Please login to your Instagram account > Settings > Business > Set up Instagram shopping.

Step 4 : Once you have completed the process, kindly submit it for review.

4. Submit your account for Instagram to review

Once you've connected a Facebook Product Catalogue and have products in your catalogue, you can submit your account for Instagram to review. The account reviews make take a few days (can take longer as Instagram will review your account).

Step1 : Go to your business's Instagram profile and select Settings

Step 2 : Sign up for shopping

Step 3 : Follow the steps to submit your account for review.

Step 4 : Visit Shopping in your Settings to check your account review status.

4. How to add products details in Instagram

Step 1: You may start upload product in your Instagram page

Add in your product image > caption > click on add product details

Step 2: Add in Title & Price & click Done

Step 3: Once done click share button

Your post will be looking as something like this

5. What do you need to know?

Some businesses may be notified to verify your website domain. If you have received this notification from Instagram, you may follow the steps to complete the domain verification process to submit your account for review.
