Payment Gateway Sorting

1. Steps on how to arrange payment categories

If you have several types of payment methods, you must want to sort according to your preferred sequence, which fits the product that you are selling or by the recommended payment methods.

With this feature, your customers can also know the type of payment methods you provide to facilitate the payment process. So, let's find out how to sort out your payment method that will be displayed on the checkout page below.

The payment categories will be sorted out based on the sequence below:

Credit card
E-wallet
Online banking
Manual payment - Learn more about payment options here.
More payment options (the ones that do not have categories such as installment & other payment services will remain at last

You can sort the payment gateways and rename the payment categories display name on checkout based on your own preferences and here's how to do it :

Step 1 : From EasyStore admin panel > Settings > Payment > Display Setting

Step 2 : You can click Edit to rename (Optional) > Insert your preferred Display name and Save it.

Step 3 : You may click on the dots on the left-hand part, drag-and-drop the payment category to arrange the sequence.

Step 4 : You may look into the allow auto-grouping for your payment methods and kindly refer below for more information.

2. What is payment auto-grouping?

You are allowed to group your payment methods based on their categories by clicking on Settings > Payments > Scroll down to Display Settings and you'll see Allow auto-grouping.

There would be 2 options to be selected for payment auto-grouping:

Enabled

By enabling the auto-grouping, the payment method will be sorted according to the payment categories:
Credit card
E-wallet
Online banking
Manual payment
More payment options (the ones that do not have categories such as installment & other payment services will remain at last

Disabled

By disabling the auto grouping, the payment methods will be sorted directly without the payment category display name.

This is how it looks like on checkout for:

Enabled Auto-Grouping

💡 Tips : If Auto-Grouping is enabled. You can now sort the payment methods follow by category then title alphabetically [New Enhancement]

Disabled Auto-Grouping

💡 Tips : If Auto-Grouping is disabled. You can now sort the payment methods follow by** title alphabetically** only (without category). [New Enhancement]

📌Note:
Title refer to sub payment channels title (if applicable), if Payment Gateways do not have sub payment channels (eg: PayPal/hosted payment - Payex etc.), then only the main Payment Gateway title will be taken instead.
