Sell on POS: About Product, Price and Discount

1. Add product to cart

📌 Note: If you haven’t set up products in your store, may follow this guide to set up.

There are 3 methods you can add product to cart:

Search by product name or SKU

1.1 Tap the search bar > enter the product name or SKU to search > tap the product name to add it to cart.

Scan product barcode

1.2 Tap the scanner icon at POS home page > scan the product barcode label to add it to cart.

💡 Tips: Check out how to print barcode label using Barcode Label app.

Add custom item

1.4 If you’re selling item that not available in your products listing, you can tap to add Custom Items.

💡 Tips: If you can’t find Custom Items button in your POS, tap "Personalize quick actions" button > Navigations > Custom Items to add.

1.5 Fill in the details of the custom item > Add to cart.

Product name
Price
Taxability
Set cost price (if any)
Quantity to add
Shipping section (only needed if customer wish to schedule shipping)

2. Adjust item price

You can customize price for items that added to cart.

2.1 Tap the item in cart that you want to adjust price.

2.2 Tap Unit price.

2.3 Enter the price you want to sell under Override unit price > Done.

2.4 Double check the Final price > Done, or proceed with checkout.

3. Give manual discount

If you’re giving out some on-the-spot special deals, you can add manual discount to item or order.

Add discount on item price

3.1 Tap the item in cart.

3.2 Add discount.

3.3 Select the discount type and enter the amount > Confirm.

Amount — discount by fixed amount, e.g., RM5 OFF
Percentage — discount by percentage, e.g., 5% OFF
Set as — set the price after discount, e.g., sold at RM5

3.4 Discount is applied to item price. Double check the Final price > Done, or proceed with checkout.

Add discount on order subtotal

3.5 Tap Add discount button below the subtotal amount.

3.6 Select the discount type and enter the amount > Confirm.

Amount — discount by fixed amount, e.g., RM10 OFF
Percentage — discount by percentage, e.g., 5% OFF

3.7 Order subtotal is discounted.

4. Auto apply promotion

You might have set up your on-going promotions for online store in admin panel and you want the same promotions to apply on POS.

4.1 To enable this automation, tap Menu > Settings > General > turn on Auto apply discounts > Save.

📌 Note:

If your promotion requires discount or voucher code, it will not auto apply. Refer step 4 in this guide to learn how to apply it in POS.
Free gift needs to manual add to cart, no matter how many free gift options.

5. Currency, Rounding and Tax

More settings at Menu > Settings > General:

Currency

5.1 You can change the currency you want to sell on POS.

📌Note:

Only currencies set up in admin panel > Settings > Currencies can be selected.
Currency selected applies on this POS device only, it does not affect other POS devices that log in to the same location.

Rounding

5.1 If you accept cash, you might want order subtotal auto round to the nearest 5 cents, turn on Allow price rounding.

Tax

5.2 If you have set up tax in admin panel > Settings > Taxes and want to auto apply the same tax rates on POS order, turn on Collect tax.

📌 Reminder: Only products ticked "Taxable product" will be applied tax.

5.3 Or you can Add tax manually.
